Turn Your Old Vehicle Into the Programs You Love on WRIR!

Since 2016, more than 60 WRIR listeners have donated their clunkers, raising over $26,000! Whether it runs or not, as long as your vehicle has an engine and can be towed, it likely qualifies!

What Can I Donate?

Besides cars and trucks, you can donate:

  • Boats (on trailers)

  • Motorcycles (running)

  • RVs & motorhomes

  • ATVs, snowmobiles & jet skis

  • Farm equipment

  • Planes (yes, really!)

How It Happens:

  1. Arrange to Donate Online or By Phone
    Go to careasy.org/nonprofit/wrir or call 1-855-500-RIDE (7433). Be sure to specify WRIR as the beneficiary.

  2. CARS Will Contact You
    Within 3 business days, CARS (Charitable Adult Rides & Services) will schedule a free pickup from your home, office, or repair shop.

  3. Vehicle Pickup
    Hand over your signed title to the tow driver and receive a tow receipt. There’s no cost to you.

  4. After the Sale
    Once your vehicle is sold, you’ll receive a thank-you letter and a record of the sale. If it sells for over $500, you’ll also get IRS Form 1098-C for your tax records.

  5. WRIR Gets the Proceeds
    The funds from the sale go directly to support your favorite WRIR programs like Democracy Now and The Edge of Americana.
