Méli-mélo audio
Bonjour, and welcome to NIGHTTIME Francosonic! You’ve been nursing your coffee with us for months during the 7 – 9 a.m. show, and now we’ve moved to the nightcap hours. Are you still listening? Très bien.
Voilà mon apprentissage du français à travers la musique…
Here’s how music helped me learn French. I listened to songs like the ones you’ll hear on tonight’s show, and it’s really a mishmash (méli-mélo) of audio.
Thanks for joining me at this new time, and stay tuned for info on the French Film Festival and more upcoming events around Richmond!
Heard on the show:
Thierry Lhermitte’s IMDb page (Lhermitte will be presenting, along with cinematographer Pierre-William Glenn, at a master class of the French Film Festival in Richmond).
A great reference point for those just learning about Lhermitte: The American flick The Dinner Gamewas based on a movie starring Lhermitte and Jacques Villeret, Le Dîner de Cons. French comedy done right!
(Seems Hollywood is taking lots of comedy cues from France – if you’ve seen The Upside, did you realize it was based on the French comedy Les Intouchables?)
