Church of the Ecstatic *REPLAY* 06/11/25 – A Female Dog is Called A….
Playing this show again on the eve of the 1 year anniversary of a seismic shift in my life. This show was made with a lot of emotions behind it, mourning things lost and changing while the earth was rumbling beneath my feet. But it ends on a ride-or-die hopeful note, vowing to hold on… unfortunately that hope turned out to be false. The very next morning after this broadcast, the ground cracked open beneath me without warning. Iykyk.
It’s a year later, and I’ve found my footing. But I will never forgive, nor forget what one person took from us in cold greed. Nor will I forget what a corporation did to us in sheer callousness. But I also won’t forget that we were and are more than a store or a job, and though I still miss it, we will always hold what we learned, how we grew, and the things we cherished within us.
It’s really not fair to dogs to have bad metaphors about them – they’re loyal and honest.
Tonight’s show – betrayals, the anger, the pain, the f*** yous – but there’s also the strengthening of bonds with those who share it with you, and a renewed sense of self.
Maybe when a narcissist lets go, you get yourself back.
