Ambiance Congo / The Other Black Music
Ambiance Congo: May 17, 2026 3:00-5:00 PM
WELCOME!
Celebrating some May birthdays of artists, many of whose music I have listened to since the 70s and still enjoy often today.
Guitarist Syran Mbenza, drummer Awilo Longomba, singer Evoloko Joker, singer Madilu System, guitarist Shiko Mawatu and singer Pamelo Mounk’a.
Pamelo deserves more than I’ve programmed for today so there will be more of his music in the future.
