End Of The Century

EOTC: Straw pays tribute to Yuji Ohno (1941 – 2026)

Sat, May 16, 2026

Yuji Ohno is one of the most influential and prolific Japanese composers of the twentieth century. That is not hyperbole or an understatement, fam. Using a lush fusion of orchestra and jazz, he recorded hundred upon hundreds of works and collaborations in his lifetime. He is also primarily known as the chief sonic architect behind Lupin III. Icons, both.

This tribute on End of the Century primarily focuses on works made between 1975 – 1982, but Ohno continued to refine and record up until his passing on May 4. We’re going to take a trip through some of his soundtrack works, songwriting and arrangement credits for other artists, and a lot of jazz. And I do mean a lot.

So, tap in or sneak in, however you would like. Enjoy two hours of Yuji Ohno on me.
