If Music Could Talk – 7-9pm Sunday – Acelia in the studio!

Sun, May 3, 2026

Tune in at 7pm for a special guest appearance by local singer, songwriter and musician, Acelia!

Three random people were sitting at a table at Révéler (Acelia, her friend, and I) for the incredible Johanna Warren / Sun V Set show back in November 2025. We chatted a bit between sets and they mentioned that they are both singers, and I mentioned WRIR and said that I have a show on Sundays. I suggested that they come visit the station sometime. Then, a few weeks later (last fund drive) I saw Acelia outside the Camel before her awesome set there (with several other groups/singers) and we talked about a visit to WRIR again. Then WRIR moved its operations to Shockoe Bottom, which delayed our planned visit for a while… so at long last, Acelia will be on “If Music Could Talk” this evening!

We might hear a spontanous in-studio set by Acelia, or, if they’re not feeling that on a Sunday evening, we will still hear some newly recorded tracks, plus some songs by a few other artists they want to support or turn people on to… and we’ll also discuss upcoming concerts, recent viral moments, Queer country at the Camel, and their recent adventures driving cross-country and recording in Vegas, and lots more.
