About the Bands
Born in Guam and raised in Virginia, Rebecca Porter writes unflinchingly personal songs that challenge the boundaries of genre and amplify voices often left out of the country canon. With commanding live performances and a cinematic debut album, Porter’s work invites listeners into stories of identity, resilience, and acceptance. Her 2023 EP Queen of the Local and 2025 debut album Roll With the Punches have earned national and international recognition, including features on NPR’s Mountain Stage, No Depression, The Bluegrass Situation, KEXP, and Lonesome Highway.

The Atkinsons first set foot on Richmond, VA stages over two decades ago and have been playing regularly ever since. The band melds roots, country, and rock music into their own style of rambling swing rock & roll. Heartfelt story-telling is at the core of The Atkinsons, and it is complemented with three-part harmonies layered over mandolin, fiddle, drums, bass and electric guitars. The Atkinsons influences run the gamut from country, mountain, bluegrass, to straight-up rock & roll music, and the sound ends up being quite a musical stew.
The Atkinsons have recorded two albums – “American Gothic” and “Mile Marker”, and are currently in the studio working on their third. You can find the band’s music on all streaming services including iTunes, Spotify, and YouTube.

Cassidy Snider & The Wranglers is a band with roots firmly planted in the riverbank soil of Richmond, Virginia. Led by the traveling troubadour herself, Cassidy Snider, this folk outlet is a grassy assortment of Cassidy’s wanderlust-filled soul with sounds of the New Orleans bayou, the blue ridge mountains, and every accent between.
From dive bar corners to venue bright lights, each song kicks dirt off the dance floor with story-filled twang. Blending genres, yet always tinged in Cassidy’s blues, they have developed a unique sound that morphs the musical styles of the American past with a voicing that can only be sung by this band’s bright future.
