Alternative Milestones Episode 74 – It’s Hot!

Thu, Jun 26, 2025

It’s the first official show of Summer, and it sure feels like it. Hopefully everybody’s keeping cool as we ride out this extended hot streak. I know my air conditioner is struggling to keep up.

Got a bunch of birthdays to celebrate from this week, and I’ve got tracks from Duran Duran, Lana Del Rey, Barenaked Ladies, Misfits, Richard Hall & The Voidoids, The Clash and Phantom Planet to commemorate those milestones.

I’ve got a couple of fun stories to tell you about with music from The Stranglers and Elastica to help tell those.

Music release milestones being celebrated include Dredg, Ben Lee, Hum, Wolf Alice and Sleater-Kinney. And there are way more than that.
