Single Use featuring Dumb Waiter
This week we’ve got Dumb Waiter with us! Dumb Waiter is a genre-defying heavily instrumental quartet that’s shifting sonically and verbally while remaining just as emotionally resonant and eclectic. They are unclassifiable and esoteric while bringing an experimental edge that challenges and provokes us to find ourselves within the spirit of their sound. Their 2022 album Gauche Gists is a front seat on a long awaited roller coaster asking you to be not afraid of what may come up — be it avant-garde, avant-noise, jazz, metal or punk. With titles like “Indigestion During A Eulogy” and “Experiencing Loss In A Grocery Store,” you’re immediately welcomed by their ability to blend humor with introspection. Dumb Waiter is the sugar and the medicine. They are a question only we can answer for ourselves, and in that way, they bring the music to us and through us.
