RIP to two legends of their respective genres, Sly Stone and Brian Wilson.

This week on Panoramic ties these two together.

The first hour focuses on the output of Sly & The Family Stone, combining live takes of his big tunes with a cross-section of session work and raw funk.

The second hour focused on Brian, and the tricky part is unlike Sly, there’s just so much stuff of his lying around. This one gets weird and moody, featuring studio outtakes and some avant-experiments to go with his mastery of pop.
