Alternative Milestones Episode 16 – Double Vision
There are no fewer than 6 artists this week that actually have 2 milestones to celebrate. So we’ll get to kill 2 milestones with one song each from Blondie, The Black Keys, Violent Femmes, R.E.M., Dave Matthews Band and Yes.
We’ll also span the history of Alternative Music with milestone tunes from Patti Smith, Erasure, The Crystal Method, and The National.
I’ll have a track suggested by a Facebook follower for one of the Milestones this week. You can hit up my Facebook Page to see the milestones every day and if you see something that you’re interested in, reply on it and there’s a very good chance your suggestion would get played. The other benefit of following the daily posts is that there are WAY more milestones than I have time to play, but a comment on any of them would move them to the ‘PLAY’ list.
