We’re hitting the end of monsoon season here in RVA; it’s humid, sticky, stormy, sultry, sweet…so for today’s episode of Outer Focus, I felt it appropriate to pull together a group of sexy, smooth songs to honor the genre I grew up singing to on the radio in middle and high school. The genre that kept me sane when driving 1.5 hours round trip to work on Los Angeles highways, blasting 94.7fm the Wave.
I’m turning the yearning meter to 11, so hold on tight and get ready to daydream about your favorite sweaty memory. Big shout out to the radio host godfather, the best to ever do this kind of curation: Melvin Lindsey’s show Quiet Storm. If you’re not hip, look him up!
