The Sunday Morning Jazz Show with the disco cat
Hello and happy March and Pisces season respectively! Hope y’all are having a fantastic swim through the last throws of winter in Richmond!
Today is very special because we are switching up our jazz programming a bit and retiring Bebop and Beyond in honor of Mr Jazz who last year stepped down and retired from regular on air broadcast after nearly 50 years doing the thing, 18 of which were with WRIR. Fear not jazz friends! The posse will continue to do what we do every week in a variety of styles and eras for your listening and swinging pleasure.
I am happy although a bit intimidated to ascend to the roll of jazz director and as i wrangle with the perpetual intake of promo albums I look forward to learning and sharing more with you in the coming months.
Shout out to all the regular listeners of the Sunday Morning Jazz show and pardon us missing any calls lately, we are still working out settling into our new building
If you got a request, feel free to drop it here and I will do my best.
