This week on Banji Kaicho, I’m honored to have my friend @eve471_ share a beautiful guest mix—a touching selection of Asian ethnic sounds across time and border. 🌏⏳

471 is the mind behind @seeseerecords and @seeseaculture, which just released its debut EP Echoes of the Snowland Cuckoo གངས་ལྗོངས་ཁུ་བྱུག་ཀྱི་གླུ་སྐད. She also co-curates FROM ZAYTON TO NEW YORK: World Music Series, a new concert series in Midtown Manhattan that explores the movement of people and the transmission of music, culture, and ideas carried by immigrants.

This mix will also feature a track from See See Records‘s upcoming Yi moon lute album, which will be released on vinyl in collaboration with @wv_sorcerer_productions.

This mix is a quiet form of resistance.
In a time overwhelmed by conflict and division, these songs speak of love — for land, for people, and for peace.
What we need now is not hatred, but tenderness, memory, and unity.
And through it all: we will not stand alone.
