Alternative Milestones Episode 65 – It’s the Spring Fundraiser!

Thu, Apr 24, 2025

Today’s episode of Alternative Milestones is a special one, as I get to make my personal plea for donations to our little bastion of independence on the radio during our Spring Fundraiser.

It’s going to be a great show! Besides the usual diverse playlist of milestone tracks I have to share with you, I’ll be having a guest in the studio as well. Bill Lupoletti, the host of Global a Go Go every Sunday from 1-3 PM and one of the OG DJs here at the station will be guest-hosting with me. Hopefully this is to help me manage the deluge of donations that come in during the show! But with this being the MILESTONE 20th anniversary for the station, I’m excited to learn more from him about its history as well as his show and background.

As I’ve done on past fundraiser shows, today’s show will be what I like to call Instant Gratification Radio. We truly appreciate any and all donations to the station during the fundraiser, no matter how big. To show my appreciation, anybody who makes a donation during my show earns a song request. After you make your donation, if you call the studio at 804.649.9737 you can make a song request and if I can find it and it’s legal to play it’ll go on the air. Any song – doesn’t have to be “alternative”. You can also hit up my page on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/DrJayOnTheRadio/) to send a message. I hope to hear from lots of listeners to take me up on this!
