Egg-ceptional jazz on Easter Sunday
Join jazz DJ Ken Hohman for his four-hour Easter Sunrise Jazz Service featuring a basketful of jazz gems and the latest from brave improvisors in the genre.
From 9 am – 1 pm I’ll be spinning ultra-obscure gospel songs, new Bird-inspired magic from saxophonist Jim Snidero, local jazz from bassist Jason Jenkins and former RVA flautist Walter Bell and Belgian bebop from Bobby Jaspar. Plus, an Easter Sunday classic by Cedar Walton that I’ve never once failed to play in over 20 years.
