Alternative Milestones Episode 63 – RIP Clem Burke
I’ll start off today with a small tribute to Blondie drummer Clem Burke, who passed away earlier this week after what was called a “private battle with cancer” at the age of 70. Another in Memoriam milestone this week comes from Okkervil River.
On the happier side of things, there are lots of birthday milestones to celebrate this week, We’ll hear from Wheatus, Frank Black, Senses Fail, Dashboard Confessional, The Strokes and A Tribe Called Quest.
Our protest milestone of the week is a cover from Reel Big Fish. And in an odd coincidence, 2 milestone tracks mention the name Jezebel. I’ve got a “new to me” track from Fisherspooner. And lots more!
I hope you’ll check it out live in Richmond on 97.3 FM WRIR, online at https://wrir.org/listen or using your favorite streaming app. If you can’t make it live don’t worry – we save this stuff for later and I’ll be posting a link for that as soon as it’s available.
