What is an “Around The Way Girl” anyway? (LJ hosts a look at the year 1990)
LJ will be hosting End of the Century!
This show will focus on the year 1990! In his slow moving survey of the end of the century, LJ felt like his last show covering 1989 was a low point. And he was worried that 1990 would also feel like a fallow year. But, upon digging in to the year’s releases, there is plenty of music from 1990 to genuinely love.
For example:
• “Iris” by The Breeders
• “Around the Way Girl” by LL Cool J
• “Three Days” by Jane’s Addiction
• _Torture Garden_ by Naked City
• _Violator_ by Depeche Mode
• “Don’t Play Cards With Satan” by Daniel Johnston
• “Decay” by Ride
• “Pickup Song” by Codeine
…And so much more!
