Lost Music Saloon: January 25, 2021: 5-7 p.m.: R.I.P. Tom Stevens + New Music
After the last 4-5 weeks of Holiday songs/fave songs of 2020/and a re-broadcast show, The Saloon will take a look back at some songs from 2020, as well as listen to some brand new 2021 music. But I’ll start the show today with a fond farewell to Tom Stevens, who passed away peacefully at home this weekend at the age of 64. Best known for his work as a member of The Long Ryders, he also released several solo albums over the years. You may recall that The Long Ryders performed live in 2019 right here in Richmond on Brown’s Island, with Tom mostly playing electric bass. I hope that wherever he is now, Tom’s letting it fly in a Mustang car!
