PANDEMIC #019: Right Now.
This show is in solidarity with George Floyd and the protests against police brutality, fascism, and systemic oppression. Love to everyone in the streets right now. Pandemic has always been a little angry and political, and avoiding what’s going on was not an option. So the show tonight features music from the 60s and 70s and right now. If you feel like you need to contribute to what’s going on right now, consider supporting:
- Black Visions Collective
- Black Lives Matter
- I Run with Maud
- National Bail Fund Network
- Official George Floyd Memorial Fund
There are many many more but these are great places to start. Every little bit counts.
It’s been an utterly exhausting week, spiritually and emotionally. This show contains a lot of dialogue from interviews, protesters, and other sources making the rounds on social media. Contrary to usual episodes, the voices here have been presented in full and, if possible, uncut, to give the voices their due and their appropriate space.
Rest in Power to Ahmaud, Breona, George, and Tony.
