Les années zéro/ n’importe quoi
Bonsoir, tout le monde ! Tonight you’ll hear des tubes (hits) from what I’m calling “les années n’importe quoi”. Get it? This would be the equivalent of “the aught years”, or whatever we call them in English. Aughts? Naughts? The double zeroes or just the 2000s?
In French, it’s simply les années 2000. Simple.
I’ll throw in some ’90s tunes, as well, since there is no question as to what we call that decade.
Bonne écoute !
Here’s a funny article on English words that are not pronounced the same in French – nor do they have the same meanings.
