End Of The Century

9:30 Club Retrospective

Sat, Aug 18, 2018

That is a pretentious name for a simple show…

Growing up in RVA, the music scene was decent, but nothing as great as it is today So, we would often head up 95 to catch whoever (whomever?) was playing at the 9:30 Club. Opened in 1980 in the Atlantic building on F street, this was, by far, my favorite venue. We will be enjoying bands that played the 9:30 over the their first 20 years, so expect a decent amount of DC-centric punk and new wave as well as some pleasant out of genre surprises. If you saw an act at the 9:30 before 2000, give me a buzz in the studio, and I will get them on for you.
